An organism or animal that has a form or structure resembling that of a swift, especially one adapted for aerial life.
Etymology
From Greek kypséle (swift's characteristic structure) combined with morphe (form or shape). This term describes animals whose body shape has been shaped by similar evolutionary pressures as swifts.

Cypselomorphs show that evolution is creative but limited—birds as different as swifts, swallows, and some pterosaurs all came up with remarkably similar body plans because air resistance and lift physics push evolution toward the same solutions.
