Definition
An abnormal discharge or leakage of fluid from the bladder, often mucus or other secretions.
Etymology
From Greek 'kystis' (bladder) + 'rhoia' (flow). Similar to 'diarrhea' but referring to bladder discharge instead of intestinal flow.
Kelly Says
The '-rrhea' suffix appears in many medical terms (diarrhea, gonorrhea) to indicate abnormal discharge—it's come to mean specifically 'flowing where it shouldn't be'!
