Definition
In a disquieted manner; with a feeling of uneasiness, anxiety, or troubled restlessness.
Etymology
From disquieted + -ly (adverb suffix, from Old English). The -ly suffix transforms adjectives into adverbs, and can be added to almost any descriptive word.
Kelly Says
English's -ly adverbs are among the most productive word-creation tools we have—virtually any adjective can become an adverb by adding -ly, letting speakers create subtle descriptions of how actions are performed.
