Dulocracy

/duːˈlɒkrəsi/ noun

Definition

Rule or control by slaves; a system of government dominated by enslaved people, or metaphorically, control by those in servitude.

Etymology

From Latin 'dulosis' (slavery) + Greek 'kratos' (rule, power). The Latin root 'dulosis' refers to the practice of enslaved ants keeping other ants as slaves.

Kelly Says

This political term is incredibly rare because the concept is paradoxical—slaves by definition have little power to rule—but it exists in theory to describe inverted power dynamics!
