Definition
Lacking sympathy or empathy; unable or unwilling to feel compassion for others.
Etymology
From Greek 'dys-' (bad, abnormal) + 'pathetic' (from 'pathos' meaning feeling, emotion). This term describes emotional detachment or lack of empathetic response.
Kelly Says
While people often use 'psychopath' loosely, 'dyspathetic' technically just means someone has difficulty feeling emotional connection—it's a psychiatric descriptor that's pretty rare in modern usage!
