Frontal

/ˈfrʌntəl/ adjective

Definition

Relating to the forehead or front part of something, especially the frontal bone of the skull or frontal lobe of the brain. In anatomy, it describes structures located at or toward the front.

Etymology

From Latin 'frontalis,' derived from 'frons' meaning forehead or front. The anatomical usage developed as physicians needed to describe the location of structures relative to the front of the body.

Kelly Says

Your frontal lobe, protected by the frontal bone, is essentially your personality headquarters! It controls decision-making, impulse control, and planning - which is why it's the last part of the brain to fully develop, around age 25.
