Definition
Sticky or containing a sticky substance, or a soft candy that you chew and is made from gelatin and sugar.
Etymology
From 'gum' (a sticky substance from trees) plus '-y' (having the quality of). Gummy bears were invented in Germany in the 1920s as a chewy candy.
Kelly Says
Gummy vitamins became popular because kids hated swallowing pills, but it turns out gummies don't absorb as well in your body—so the market created a problem and then sold a less effective solution!
