Definition
Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, understanding, or awareness about something. It doesn’t necessarily mean being unintelligent; it simply means not knowing.
Etymology
From Old French "ignorance," from Latin "ignorantia" meaning "not knowing," from "ignorare" (to not know). It originally described a state of being unaware, not a fixed personal flaw.
Kelly Says
No matter how smart you are, your ignorance is always infinite compared to what there is to know. The real divide isn’t between the ignorant and the knowledgeable, but between people who hide their ignorance and those who use it as a starting point to learn.
