Incan

/ɪŋˈkɑːn/ adjective

Definition

Relating to or belonging to the Inca civilization, a powerful empire that existed in South America, particularly in the region of modern-day Peru.

Etymology

From 'Inca,' which in Quechua (the native language) means 'lord' or 'ruler.' The Spanish encountered this civilization and applied the term to the entire empire.

Kelly Says

The Inca Empire was truly mind-bending in scale—it covered over 2 million square kilometers and had no written language, yet maintained detailed records on knotted strings called quipu. Without wheels, horses, or iron tools, they built Machu Picchu so precisely that you can't fit a knife blade between the stones!
