Definition
Jubilation is a feeling or expression of great joy, often shared by a group of people.
Etymology
From Late Latin “jubilatio” meaning “a shouting for joy”, from “jubilare” meaning “to shout with joy”. It has long been used for public or group celebrations.
Kelly Says
Jubilation is joy that becomes contagious; it spreads through a crowd like a wave. It’s the difference between smiling to yourself and a stadium roaring together. The word captures how happiness can become a shared event, not just a private feeling.
