Juggling

/ˈdʒʌɡlɪŋ/ verb

Definition

Tossing and catching multiple objects repeatedly in a pattern, or managing multiple tasks at the same time.

Etymology

From Old French 'jogler' meaning 'to joke' or 'to perform', which came from Latin 'joculari' (to joke). Medieval jongleurs were entertainers, and the tossing skill became associated with them.

Kelly Says

Juggling, while it seems like pure hand-eye coordination, is actually heavily dependent on your vision—if you can't see the balls, you can't juggle even with perfect timing, which is why darkness is impossible for jugglers.
