Definition
Visible signs, displays, or expressions of something, especially something abstract or hidden.
Etymology
From Latin 'manifestare' (to make clear or reveal), derived from 'manifestus' meaning obvious or visible, possibly from 'manus' (hand) and 'festus' (struck).
Kelly Says
In medicine, 'manifestations' means symptoms—so a fever is a manifestation of illness—but in psychology, it's used to describe how abstract emotions show up as real behaviors!
