Definition
A tiny trace or spark of a specified quality or feeling; the smallest possible amount.
Etymology
From Latin 'scintilla' (a spark). The same root gives us 'scintillating' (sparkling). In law, 'not a scintilla of evidence' means absolutely nothing.
Kelly Says
The tiniest spark! Not even a crumb — a SPARK of a crumb! When you say 'not a scintilla of doubt,' you mean the doubt is so small it barely TWINKLES into existence! ✨
