Definition
Able to move quickly and easily, with light, controlled movements. It can also describe minds or systems that can change and respond quickly.
Etymology
From Latin *agilis* “quick, nimble,” from *agere* “to do, act, move.” It came into English through French in the 16th century.
Kelly Says
We now use ‘agile’ for software teams and companies, not just gymnasts and cats. The same idea—quick, flexible movement—has jumped from bodies to ideas and organizations.
