Definition
The quality or state of having equal weight, validity, or concerns on both sides of an issue.
Etymology
From 'bothsided' plus the suffix '-ness' (Old English), which transforms adjectives into abstract nouns describing qualities or conditions.
Kelly Says
Bothsidedness is the reason why climate scientists get frustrated—a perfectly valid scientific consensus gets treated with false 'balance' in media, giving equal weight to fringe skeptics.
