Tending to do or believe the opposite of what is suggested; having a psychological inclination to resist or contradict suggestions.
From contra- (Latin for 'against') plus suggestible (from suggest + -ible 'capable of'). This psychological term was created in the late 19th century to describe people who automatically resist influence or direction.
This is basically the opposite of being easily swayed—contrasuggestible people automatically want to do the opposite of what you tell them to do! Psychologists think some of this comes from a natural desire for independence, which is totally normal in teenagers.
