Definition
Comparative form of tasty; having a more pleasant or strong flavor than something else.
Etymology
From 'tasty' (from Old French 'taster' meaning to taste or handle) + comparative suffix '-er.' The word became common in English by the 18th century.
Kelly Says
Scientists have found that food doesn't actually taste 'tastier' as you eat more of it—your taste receptors adapt through sensory satiation. This is why your first bite of cake is almost always better than your tenth.
