Uneasy

/ʌnˈiːzi/ adjective

Definition

Feeling anxious, uncomfortable, or worried about something. Characterized by a lack of peace of mind or physical comfort.

Etymology

From Old English un- (not) + easy (from Old French aisie, meaning comfortable or at leisure). The word developed its psychological meaning of mental discomfort alongside its original sense of physical discomfort.

Kelly Says

The feeling of uneasiness often serves as an early warning system, alerting us to potential problems before they become obvious. This emotional state can be surprisingly productive, as it motivates us to pay closer attention to our environment and make necessary adjustments.
